MARGAUX WEINSTOCKWildflower Bridal

Originally from New York City with a background in fashion, I moved to Asheville in 2007 and soon realized there was a need for a fashion-forward Asheville bridal shop to help more brides find gowns that speak to their styles and spirits.

I have worked in ready-to-wear, lingerie, jewelry, and trend forecasting in New York. When I moved to Asheville in 2007 I experienced the retail side of the industry and became familiar with the local market during my position as a manager and buyer at a men’s and women’s clothing store downtown. Struggling to figure out how I could put my fashion experience and expertise to use in a small mountain town, I decided to step back and take a break for a few years while I explored another lifelong interest of mine- psychology. As many of my Asheville girlfriends were getting engaged and looking for wedding gowns at that time, I noticed a disconcerting pattern- everyone was leaving Asheville to find a gown. I thought it strange that none of my girlfriends felt Asheville had bridal options to suit their tastes. Witnessing this void spearheaded the concept for Wildflower Bridal. Simultaneously, while I very much enjoyed many aspects of social work, my heart was not truly in it. I missed fashion. Wildflower Bridal was thus born out of the desire to provide a comfortable and chic environment in town (and therefore contribute to the local eceonomy) where stylish brides-to-be could could find their dream gowns.
